The Clinical Research Information Technology (CRIT) team can help you through the entire cycle of the clinical trials process (in collaboration with the RC Application Services and Infrastructure Services teams and others). We are one of the cores of the Institutional Centers for Clinical and Translational Research (ICCTR) and our services span consenting, electronic data capture (EDC), and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).

• Consenting Process: In collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and with support from Catalyst we have recently developed a Paperless Consenting REDCap system for eConsenting and remote consenting. 

• Electronic Data Capture (EDC): RC currently operates four EDC systems:

  • BCH REDCap to capture survey data (including PHI) and create databases with access limited to the BCH network

  • Open REDCap for collaborative projects

  • Inform for Part 11 compliant data capture

  • Pilot instance of REDCap Cloud to support Part 11 compliant capture of research data and patient-reported outcomes
